“Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous – how well I know it.” – Psalm 139:14 (NLT)
Many of my teenage years were spent feeling bad about myself. I struggled with a low self-esteem. I battled depression, and wanted nothing more than to be like everyone else. This verse was the catalyst to overcoming my low self esteem.
One of the best things you can do when you battle a low self-esteem is to spend sometime thinking about how God sees you. When you begin to see your value to God, it will change the way you view yourself. It will take you from depressed to happy, from hating yourself to seeing your true value. So spend some time finding out what God says about you in the Bible.
What does GOD say about you?
– YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE
Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
–YOU ARE MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
Genesis 1:27 (NKJV)
27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God
He created him; male and female He created them.
– YOU ARE THE APPLE OF HIS EYE
Zechariah 2:8 (NKJV)
8 For thus says the Lord of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you;
for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.
– YOU ARE LIKE A TREE PLANTED BY THE RIVER OF WATER (LIFE)
Psalm 1:3 (NKJV)
He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
-HE HAS GOOD INTENTIONS FOR YOU!!
Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
